Forum: Old versions

Topic: How do you Recurse on a MAC like you can on a PC?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

On my PC I can click on a recurse option to make all songs in sub folders show up in my browser, but on this mac version I have to open each sub folder individually to view the songs in that folder, how can I fix this?

Also, the new MAC download is great except I still don't see any fonts when I type in the search field, is this my computer or is everyone having this problem?

I downloaded the new version and the fonts appeared in the browser, but when i try and type in the search field nothing appears.

Where do you see the recurse option?

right-click (ctrl-click) on a folder/volume

On the PC version I simply type the name of the song and all the files appear with that name on it, on the mac version, it does not seem to do this, Instead I have to look through every folder to find the song I need. Is there any easier way of finding songs? Cheers

You will need to add the music to your VirtualDJ database for it to appear when searching.

To do this, use the VirtualDJ browser to browse to the drive(s) and/or folder(s) where the music is located, right-click on the folder and choose Add to search DB.

NOTE: Mac does not support recursing, so you need to do this on each folder that contains music.
