Topic: Question about my 900th post...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Does anything happen at certain post counts?

I'm not trying to promote that people post useless posts just for the sake of getting higher post counts in order to get or achieve something, but I was just wondering if it counted for anything.

I hope that the "star" and/or status system is based on helpfulness to others AND helpfulness in promoting VirtualDJ/Virtual Vinyl which I think I'm doing a pretty good job at.

Again, just wondering. =)

Although most people who have a high post count are those up the chain.

Lol!

There were a couple of reasons for that. At first it was a joke that was played on me by Atomix's webmaster but with a different name, "Mac Pusher". Then I started a thread calling myself the Mac Ambassador so that I didn't sound like a drug dealer. =P

Then people started requesting my advice specifically in threads that had Mac questions and then the Mac Forums were formed.

So here we are. =)

Here's my 500th post from January 16th:

I just wanted to say thanks to all of the people who made this possible... especially all of the Mac haters because if it weren't for them I wouldn't have reached this 500 post milestone. ;)

Of course, if it weren't for my lengthy, long winded, anti-windows/pro-Mac posts, I would surely be making my 1000th post instead! =P

At least it looks like I've established myself as the "Apple/Mac Ambassador" around here, right dj-in-norway? ;)

Peace everyone!

P.S.
Maybe we can get VDJ for Mac out to beta testing today to celebrate? Hello? Hello?! Anyone?!!! ... =)

P.S.S.
I just noticed that I got my 4th star!!! =D

P.S.S.S. (can I even do that?!!!)
Also, my title has been elevated to "Experienced Professional User" as well... YIPEEEEEEE!!!

just a suggestion, but maybe if you offered something other than "what do you expect? Windows sucks!, and here's why" and then proceed to copy and paste articles from old issues of macworld magazine for 134 pages when someone asks for help, it would help to elevate your status a bit....

:)

But I could be wrong!

lol

hey, we gotta' line the hamster cage with something... and your many many posts give us plenty of material to use as rodent bedding....

just messin' with ya' man...
