Topic: Where Are My V.O.B .Files?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have dvds on my hard drive that have the VOB files in the Video_TS folder but when I open the same folder from inside VDJ, there are no VOB files! all the other type i click on "VTS_01..."i get the dreaded "Error" on the deck. Where the heck are they?

DO I need a plug-In, patch, etc.?

i need to rip the dvd into individual vob files. don't use the ones inside the VIDEO_TS folder.

And what would be the procedure for that?

Sometimes it directly works from the DVD. It depends on the vob ;-)

On RipDVD, it usually says the bits that will rip into Virtual DJ - unfortunately, it's only track numbers, no names - if it's not copy-protected (as most DVDs with films or TV series often are), it'll display the tracks that will rip - sometimes there's only one track of about two seconds long and elicits the response "Error" when you try to rip it. If there are tracks on there that will successfully copy, you won't know until you play them back what they are.
