My SA3 mixer has two sets of master out:

2 (1/4") Balanced/ (RCA) unbalanced,
+4 dBu balanced / -10 dBV unbalanced

(see pic here http://i5.tinypic.com/2a6m834.jpg)

I usually use the RCA output as my main output line (goes directly to the amp). my question is, can i use the 2 (1/4") Balanced output as my main output line instead? what i am trying to do is free up the rca output so i could use that as my recording output to record my mix.

On another note, what is balanced and unbalanced output? whats the difference between the two?

Pls advice if this is doable.
