Is it best to set the setting to Quality, Performance or Let application decide?

Should I use the "Automated Clock Configuration Utility"?

Any suggestion would be great... :)

I can tell you that on a Radeon X200 machine I used to use, setting to 'Performance' caused video output not to work in VDJ 3.x
Not completely sure why, but my best guess is that the performance setting uses some shortcuts in processing and avoids or estimates for some of the more complex algorithms to get quicker response, and apparently this operation was not compatible with what VDJ wanted to do. Again, that is just an educated guess... I didn't do much research when the errors occurred, just set it back to what worked.
The problem was immediate upon activating video output with hardware acceleration, so you can try it easily with your setup.
