I have WXP, Soundblaster Extigy(3D) and Internal soundblaster(3D too).

I use external mixer.

When I use version VDJ 1.08 with S-Extigy, front and rear sound go well.

In version 2.00, front and rear sound mixes - front channel in rear and rear channel in front
(at the same configuration as in 1.08) :(

I tried internal soundblaster, then 2 soundblasters, no results.
I tried everything... :(((

are you using the demo? that would be version 2.01. If not you should update your software to 2.01.

Maybe that helps...

You should enter your serial in your profile in order to appear as Full version user and get help from us.

HUM HUM!

In fact, you can't have separate outputs with demo versions:

neither with VDJ 2.00 demo... nor with 1.08 demo!

You need to buy the full version to be able to connect VDJ to your mixer.

so you have to have a mixer in order to use this program? You cannot just have speakers and heaphones hooked up?

No, you can use vdj as is, no extra controllers needed. Just download the demo and see if your setup works with the software. Keep in mind though that there are many more options in the full version to make things work.

but from what ive been reading you cannot use it without a splitter and stuff like that.

I want to be able to have one desk play and then be able to listen to the other desk on my headphones. And from what ive been reading i need to buy a splitter or something. I have alot of questions about this but it seems the admin here will not help because i have not yet purchased the program. =(

I've just checked the comparison list, and there it states that you can use a headphone.

http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

I have the Hercules DJ Console and VDJ, and there I can prelisten the other table before mixing.

hope this helps a little...

you must have the virtualdj full version to use the preview (or external mixer) feature..

Ok ok, one last question. I have sound blaster audigy 2 zs. Will this be sufficient to be able to have one desk play on my computer speakers and then be able to listen to the other desk over my headphones?

This card will be more than enough if you want to be able to cue a song (pre-listen in headphones while the other song is playing on the speakers), since it has 5.1 output.

You can easily configure VirtualDJ to do that with the full version (you do not need additional hardware).
