Topic: VDJ Playback Versus AVS/Nero Playback - Same File

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I playback a .vob file brought in from an ambient dvd (fireplace scene) in either Nero or AVS (both configured to playback .mpg and/or .vob files), there is delightful classical music playing in the background of the video. Perfect. Even when the file suffix was changed to .mpg, perfect.

Now I play that same file in VDJ using either the .mpg and/or .vob codec configuration set to Video Decoder, the video works fine but instead of the music, there's a different audio out put (crickets and fire crackling noises).

So, I switched the codec choice to Windows Media Player Decoder and I got the classical music for the audio but the video was a still picture of the first frame.

Appranetly there are two different audio track selections embedded in the .vob/.mpg file and the existing basic codecs available don't give me choices that work.

Any ideas/suggestions for remedy?
