Hi everybdy,
I am evaluating the latest V-Dj version
and I am experiencing a strange problem

The configuration is with 2 sound cards and one external mixer, so each card is used as a separate channel

The cards are: SBlaster Live! and Realtek AC97, both with latest available drivers

The first card sound great, the second card (in this case, the AC97) sounds creepy and looses bits of sound, plus when, for example I stop the second player I still can hear for a few seconds sounds like "dling, dlang ... ".

As you can imagine, this is VERY annoying and makes it unusable.

Even if I rotate the cards (like, put the AC97 first and Live! second) ... the second one (in this case the Live!) is always creepy.

Looks like, with 2 different models, V-DJ can't handle them correctly.

Can you please send some feedback?

I believe most of you use 2 cards, so I think there must be something strange going on here...

Thank you so much!

try loweing your proformance tab to fast

preferences > proformances

fast < quaility

this should drop the taxation of cpu resources

It's not a cpu usage issue (nor memory - cpu is always less than 10% and I have 4Gb Ram) ...
and lowering quality does not help much...

Need some more help :(

both of them, if used as primary work great...
it's always the second card that is 'creepy'...

Just to clear out...
if I only configure one card ... everything is ok (no matter wich one is it..)

With the ac97, I'm also able to use 4.1 configuration smooth (my Live! has no 4.1 capacity...)

it's when I use them both that the trouble come ... no matter wich one is first card ... the second one is creepy

Thank you

because if they are it means they are both fighting for each others resources and they both will start to degrade in quality

Sorry, but they're on 2 different IRQs....

to me, it seems that V-DJ sets some parameters from the first card (latency?) wich are not fully compatible with the second. Probably my 2 cards are way too different....

Don't know...

Thank you anyway for helping me...
