Hello,
i'm going to change my laptop because i'm having lot of problems with videocard (now using nvidia 7400). i'm thinking on a laptop with ati 1600 but i would like other users to share experience.
I would appreciate from all users of vdj with laptop playing hard video-clips all night long (even with TCV´s), which is best video card they tried.
thanks a lot.

Got ATI x700pro.. and it rocks;)
In fact any of the dedicated ram ATI cards I've seen trying to mix video at laptop, seem to work great, and such cards as X1600 and X1800 got great feedback at forum...
Cards that work well use 128bit access mode (6600GT, 7600GT and ATI X1400) or N-Vidia 7800GT or above and ATI X1800 use 256 bit access mode.
Nvidia Go 7300 & 7400 N-vidia videocards really are too slow. They use to have a 64 bit even 32 bit access mode.
And use a card with DEDICATED RAM, not shared!

look what i learnt in a lecture on tuesday lol;)
why celeron is pants:
it lacks cashe memory
it has a smaller alu
and it has a longer lead time
has no preprogramed multimedia instructions
