I've noticed that on some songs I get distortion on the bass.
The problem is when I turn the bass knob too high, sound is distorted.
And gain setting does not change anything about it, just lovers the volume.
Detailed investigation showed that gain is applied after the EQ.
If it's applied before, it should solve also the non working gain in headphones.
NOTE: it's mostly noticable if you turn mids and highs almost to minimum, then turning the bass knob will result in overloading. You can hear "crackles" in the mid band as reason of this.
Not for all songs.... but it's not a problem of source file they sound good when not so much bass is added.
