hello
i have bought virtual dj and have been using for about a year now and i have enjoyed using it and have created many mixes. One of the things that has impressed me is that the program is easy to use. I did this dj course and got taught how to use real decks and they are extremely hard to use, for example it takes a lot longer to beatmix a song than it does on virtual dj (you only have to press one button on VDJ), and the equipment is expensive. So my question is: What advantage do real decks have over virtual dj, it looks to me that they do pretty much the same thing, except they are harder to use and they are much more expensive, so could i play at a gig just using my computer with virtual dj loaded onto it, or should i invest in some decks?

LOOL ;) you have been using software way to long... seems you have forgotten real decks.. hehe
Anyways, there are no big advantages using a cd player over vdj...
A dj CD player usually have a good "controller" ... And for VDJ to work "as a cd player" you might consider getting a good controller, such as XP10... or use timecode with real decks.. ;)
Other than the "feel" of real decks, there is not really any advantages..

Lol , I really though he meant software, LMAO
I agree with Norway the only real advantage to real hardware is the feel, but like he also mentioned TCV and TCCD can fix that easy.
