Hello,

What settings should the scratch bit of advanced sound settings be on for best quality sound? Still sounding a bit electronic here.

This problem requires the following steps.

1 exit all vdj's running.
2 open the hercules mixer
3 select "asio"... instead of wdm
4 open vdj4.0
5 go to settings
6 go to sound setup
7 input: select what ever you have
8 output: select "headphones"
9 sound card(s): asio
if you do not see the hercules mk2 as an asio option, go to the hercules mk2 mixer and select asio, then go back to vdj, exit the settings, then launch settings and continue from step 6
10 next to the "input" select time code config. "auto-config" both channels.
11 press "OK" when done to go back to settings
12 go to "performances'
13 presets "second from fastest... third from quality"
14 sound card: latency: "auto"; check overclock; UNcheck safe mode
15 optimize for: latency
16 simple algorithm; basic interpolation; master tempo: fast
17 press ok to go back to vdj4.0
you should see the disks rotating if your timecoded vinyls/cd's are playing.

now scratch away.
