I don't think so
To my knowledge , only "Windows XP - professional edition" uses correctly the dual core

Hi Djcel,
Now i change my pc with this configuration...
P4 D ( dual core ) 3.2 gb
Mother B. Gigabyte ga-8i945pl-g
2 gb ram ddr2 533 mhz
two hd pata 2x300gb
graphic card saphire radeon 9550
OS win xp sp2 pro.
I have tested yesterday evening Vdj 4.0 with the performances slider in the 3 position , latency 11 ms
but i have deselect safe and overclock mode... if i flag safe and overclock the sound is terrible and the only way to have a good sound good scratch is put the slider performance to pos. n°2.
The Master tempo ( kl ) work greatly !!! and is good the low usage of cpu when is active.
Also the improvment quality audio all ok..
Without safe mode work i have only one freezing when i try to charge a long mp3 , about 100 mb...
and the only way to terminate vdj is from task manager...:-(
Sorry for my bad english..i using Vdj only at home in my spare time
best regard

To improve when you can:
1.- The video card, try a ATI X1600 or a N-Vidia 6600GT or a 7600GT DDR3 256MB, it works a lot better than the radeon 9550.
2.- PentiumD 3.2 could be a 840 or a 940 Pentium D Dual-Core processor. I recomend you the 940.
3.- Your Hard disk are PATA and it's better a SATA drivers in there
"Overclock" clould be checked with this configuration for sure... Safe mode too, but if you findissues, it's ok to uncheked. Maybe your soundcard isn't as good as your equipment, and that cause latency issues.
Good Luck!

It's better to wait,
Vista is comming in november so ... nobody is now making nothing for XP 64 and they are preparing for Windows Vista.
Also don't forget that VDJ runs now in 32 bits not in 64, so it will work better in Windows XP Pro than in X64.
Hope it helps

VirtualDJ works very well on Vista but it's still in 32bits (because of WOW)

ATI 9550 can not be compared to the X1600 or Nvidia 6600Gt and 7600Gt, it is a older generation card. New models have new processors, better and faster ram memory and better Tv-output (ramdac) than your model.

ramirezdj,
As Alf already said, the ATI 9550 is an old generation videocard which has a slower GPU & memory, so maybe you couldn't perfom good with video mixing using VDJ.
ATI X1600 has a better performance and also N-Vidia 7600GT (which substitutes the old 6600GT).
Tell us if you need more specific information (speed, ram, tech on each videocard, etc).
Good Luck!
