I've finally learned that if you want an automatic slide show when no video is present, typing "slideshow" in that box in config/video should make the slide show work. When I do that though, then turn on the "activate" box for the video in video tab, VDJ just freezes. All done son. Interestingly, it also seemed to lead to to an "error in the sound driver". (Support acknoledges the feature doesn't work and will be addressed in 4.1, but not sure if they know it causes a crash?)
I was able to repeat this more than once, and when I didn't do this, it's been fine, I mean awesome. I've got probably 17 hours of testing & live use since installing on Friday after the Atlantic City Expo.
This issue may be related to my system, but it's built to rock so...
