I downloaded the 30 pack of visualizations (dj-in-norway) and i see them in the video ouput screen, but they dont seem to be responding to any music or beats. Whether a song is playing or not, they seem to be doing the same thing. For instance, the whitecap visual is only showing a flat green line when a song is playing. Is this normal, or is it supposed to be reacting to music? Does it only work for an external mixer and line-in, as opposed to just using the onscreen mixer? Thanks.

I do not think they work in the advanced settings of the sound card.
Try it in 4.1 and see how it works for you.

they work better with hardware acceleration, if your video card doesn´t support it then effects won´t run properly, and yes they move when you play a song.

hi, what sound card do you have.
I have a maya44 usb (i think the problem is with asio cards) and i solved it on my computer by using the "time-coded vinyl" option in the soundcards tab of the config menu. Then i set the card up the way i wanted it by clicking the button that appears when you highlight the time-code button i just mentioned.
Then it worked fine for me after that.
Hope that helps (I'll explain it again if that wasn't very clear). :)
Andy.
