Topic: STANTON GROUND HELP!!!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I get major feedback from my Stanton str8-80 when I am playing a time encoded vinyl record. I am using a UREI 1601S mixer also. How can I get rid of the feedbac/whining noise????

ground TT to computer, try to mixer too, or get ground loop isolator.

You can attach wire to any metal part on your TT or you can tape ground on your cables and try it that way. You TT's are making noise because they don't have ground and they are grounding on your mixer or computer. Getting the Ground Loop isolator is the best solution.

the wining noise could be the actual sound of the vinyl leaking through to the system. Have a listen to the timecoded vinyl through your speakers, see if it's the same noise your hearing.

If it is, have a look at your soundcard settings, prehaps it's monitoring the input through to the outputs.
