I am planning on getting a soundcard with inputs and using it with TCCDs.

DJs who use TCCD, what is your setup like?

I DJ at nightclubs, which means other DJs will also need to use those CD players with regular CDs. Can I hook up VDJ to CD players and be able to play regular CDs? How do I enable the Bypass feature?
Will this hookup take up only 2 Line connection on the mixer or will I need 4?

Another thing I noticed is when I hook up CDJ-1000 through a piggyback cable

The sound level of the CD player becomes so low, it's almost muted, which makes me thing the same thing will happen with a y-cable.

You have the right idea with those connectors but you will need a 4 channel mixer

These cables don't work with the CDJ-1000. Any more details on this kind of setup?

They don't work with my CDJ-1000, and this doesn't answer my questions. Does anyone else have any input?

So the only way I can hook up 2 CDJ-1000s through a soundcard using TCCDs is a 4 CHANNEL MIXER?

No, if you look that setup is only using 2 channels.

You need 4 line inputs

4 including L/R channels or do I actually need a 4 channel mixer?

2 channels with 4 lines. Both channels must have a straight line in and switchable line/phono in. Some two channel mixers do not have this, they have one phono in and one line in, this will not work. How many line level inputs does your mixer have?

I use CDJ1000's and DJM-800 with TCCD using the M-Audio 1010LT sound card, and it has worked great...until last night, but I will save that for another post.

The DJM-800 is a 4-channel mixer, but you don't have to have that if you use the VDJ timecode_bypass feature (which according to documentation requires the ins and outs you are using on the sound card to be on the same sound card). It just allows me to hook up another set of turntables when friends bring them over, and I have the CDJ Digital outs hooked into the other two mixer inputs so that technically, I can use VDJ as two decks, and my CDJ's as another two decks if I ever get the wild hair to do so.

Deck1 Output -> M-Audio Input 3/4
Deck2 Output -> M-Audio Input 5/6
M-Audio Output 1/2 -> Mixer Input 1/2
M-Audio Output 3/4 -> Mixer Input 3/4

How do I enable the bypass feature?

Settings -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Add... -> turntable -> timecode_bypass

I have heard that some skins have a button on them to enable/disable the bypass, but I do not know which skins they are.
