Topic: Impossible to open with WMA Decoder??? Help please!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,
I am in need of advise, when I try to drag a song from the database list to the deck it will not play? I then right click the mouse and select 'file Info' and it reads this:

Impossible to open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\House1.wma with the WMA Decoder.

Now some of my songs do work but most of the time they don't??? I am using Windows XP.

Any HELP would be great?

oh and if this helps, i have been ripping the songs to Windows Media Player 10.

Thanks.

This is because you have the home edition of Virtual DJ, and your version doesn't support protected WMA files.

You should re-encode your tracks disableing the WMA protection, or re-encode in MP3.

Another solution would be to upgrade to Virtual DJ Pro, you can have a discount price.

If you buy Virtual DJ Pro, you will have support for WMA protected files and for lots of other things see the comparison page.

And great news: You will have VDJ 4.0 for free if you upgrade now to the Pro version.
