i actually really like the xp-10
i also like the mk2
they are both really cool to scratch with and remix stuff with
stick your finger on the "vinyl" to scratch and the "rim" to nudge
pretty easy to mix with
i'm looking forward to the next level of mp3 mixers

the "new xp10" is more a full size turntable unit..
You can find it on pictures on www.eks.fi
As for new mp3 controllers that work nativly inside VDJ... Well.. all I can say is ICDX!!;)
- VDJ controller
- Plays CD's and MP3s from cd's and dvd's
- Can connect directly to hardrive's to use stand-alone/backup
- And LOTS more... :)

so...
and, in my opinion, the mixer in the picture is also a controller for the software on the pc.
only a question...
I haven't got the xp10 controller, but, does it have a "switching" button??
I don't remember...
thanks

Yes there will be new versions of XP10.
I had a great talk with Company Owner of EKS at the SIEL event in february 2006.
EKS is going to have a bigger product range, releasing about 20 new products before the end of 2010.
At the SIEL, EKS was presenting a prototype of their next release: http://eks.fi/index.php?page=uutiskuva&id=3330
This turntable has a vinyl platter that is motorized (like a real Vinyl turntable) and also has some midi-controlable buttons, that could control any midi software (VDJ included). The pitch slider is also motorized, which means that in BISON 0.9 (still in beta version) if you move the software slider, it will also move the hardware pitch slider.
But if you are interested in buying this product, you'd better save up alot of money. I was told the device will cost 1999€. I couldn't believe the price, so i asked if this product will really work at such a price, because the XP10 was sold 399€ and wasn't that much popular, so what about a midi controller for 1999€...
Other EKS products are on their way, the XP05 should be released in 2006's second semester. It is a sort of a xp10 with less buttons but still a touchable platter. I don't know much about this device, but it will be cheaper than the xp10 so it should be for a younger public with less money than xp10 owners ;)
I also heard about 2 other products but don't know anything about their release date:
XP102 ::: sort of a double XP10 maybe with an integrated mixer.
XP102 vp ::: single device but it will have a switch button to control 2 software turntables.

thanks JeremK!
but, I think that companies as Eks had to lower their price, because they are very expansive...
their products are very professional but I or you or an "x" person can't spend a sum of money so high...
