I just received my MAYA44 Sound card and tried to set things up but to no avail.
Everytime I run things on low latecy time encoded, the system runs slow.
I mean real slow. If i don't use time encoded, the system runs perfectly fine.
and the only way to get the vdj tables to spin right is to use the invert stereo option.
And I still can't get any sound out of the speakers.
here's my set up.
cables run to maya 44 inputs from the TT
cables run from maya 44 to mixer in line in
cables run from mixer to stereo
I have finally got it to get a signal but the system goes real slow.
Keepin in mind that the system handles everything fine when not running TCV.
And also can't get audio to come out of speakers.
I'M STUCK. HELP PLEASE.
thanks
ps. i'm not a registered user so please don't reply with links to blogs cuz i can't access them.

Do you see green Leds inside the Maya (in front of the RCA OUT youre using) while youre playing a track ? Maybe youre only plugged in the wrong OUT.
Check also the Volume sliders in the maya Driver Panel, the inputs must be muted while outputs must be full (or 3/4).
The "reverse stereo" thing is'nt an issue, you can also plug your Rca the other way, and it will be OK.

Another trick : check in the Maya driver Panel that youre in 44Khz and 16 bits, with a reasonnable latency config (normal or fast if your computer can follow).

Thanks a lot for the helpful tips.
I finally got sound from it.
But the songs load real slow, and analyze like 30 - 40 times slower then if I wasn't running TCV.
It runs so bad that it would lag at least 20 times durring a 3 minute song.
As far as the lights on Maya, they are almost never "solid"
They usually blink.
Some people say that I should lower output some say I should raise it.
And what exactly should I do in the performance settings in Maya?
When I start VDJ it takes forever just to open it, and then when I click on "config" it takes extra time there. Then any other options I click on after that are slow as well.
Thanks for the help

Ok, it looks like it's gonna work now.
System performance on "fast"
Application priority on "normal"
With input to 1/3 UP
basically the only change I did was go from high speed performance and hgih priority and lowered them both. Now it works great.
I'm just hoping that now it would work on the laptop, since my laptop is slower then the desktop by quite a bit but does have more RAM.
=========
does running 2 tables make the system run slower?
THANKS

no but in order to use 2 TCVs you'll need the full version of Virtual DJ Pro and with the pro version you will also be able to have native ASIO support which will reduce the latency you currently have.
