Topic: VirtualDJ with Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (Not Platinum Pro)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have a Audigy 2 ZS platinum, and my question is, can I use this with virtualDJ and what would I need?

I am having a hard time finding any information about this card with this program. I found the one post from a guy in mexico but I just wondering if it is compatible? If I have to sell the card and buy something else well so be it but I don't want to by the software and spend $200 to find out I cannot even run it.

From my understanding all I need is the program and Timecoded vinyl?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes, is possible to use it with vdj I guess that even with tcvs, but if what you want is to mix with ypur keyboard, is a good souncard you can use it with 4.1 mode in order to work with the 2 decks separetely and an external mixer, just go control panel then select sound configuration and in nadvanced properties select 4 speakers instead of 2 that comes by default, after that conect your outputs to the mixer (usually black and green color), open vdj and start mixing.
PD. it only works with full version, hope it helps.

Well I'm the Mexican Guy you are refering...

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum could work with TCVs and VDJ in a limited way, but it works. If you are going to mix mp3 (or any digital music) with your PC and mix it like they were Vinyls, Audigy 2 ZS Platinum could work for you. But if you want to get all VDJ can get you, you will need another Soundcard.

I look that you could get VDJ working smoothly with Maya 44 USB, or M-Audio Delta 44 or 1010LT or FireWire 1814. Also with ESI U46DJ USB... If could, change your soundcard to M-Audio, buy VirtualDJ Pro and 2 TCVs and you are ready to go. If you want to do videos too, use a N-Vidia 6600GT 256MB DDR3 or better (7600GT, 7900GT) or an ATI X1400 256MB or better.

I'm actually using a Creative X-Fi Platinum and have TCVs working with VDJ now.

Good Luck!
