I am looking to buy a 24bit sound card which I can use with Time coded Cds for two Pioneer CDj1000s

You can use the Creative SB X-Fi Platinum soundcard. http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=208&product=14065
Good Luck!

careful, acw_dj, the X-fi does not features 4 inputs... It's not correct for use with 2 timecode decks.
Deadlyd, the 2 soundcards we recommend here are the Maya44 (USB or PCI) and the U46DJ (USB). They are 100% tested and appreciated ;-)

Excuse me, I didn't see this parameter in your request ;-)
It seems to be a 16-bits/48kHz card too.
It's pretty hard to find an USB soundcard that works upper than 16bits.. the Lunnar XRACK or the soudblaster Live ! 24bits are OK I think. For the latter, just verify that there is 2 STEREO line-ins.

Yep, just search through the forum with keywords like 'configure timecode'...
And check the blogs, some teamers made some awesome tutorials about it.

I haven't gotten it setup just yet, but my new rig uses the Creative X-Fi 24 Bit Sound card with the I/O Console which has two 1/4" Line In ports. The X-Fi card itself only has one 1/8" line in jack, but with the $200 add-on console it should work...I hope. I will let you know as soon as I get to set it all up.

Just an update. The X-Fi with I/O Console does not work. It has all the inputs needed, but VDJ doesn't understand how to break them out into seperate inputs. It blurrs them all together, thus making two timecodes play on one side. The Creative software mixer can break the inputs out seperately like VDJ would need to, so may Atomix could possibly write something to recognize the different input/output channels on the I/O console that we could use this 24-bit sound card with VDJ. The U46DJ does work great though, once you learn to mute all the output channels that are not being used.

Its possible, but not in the "user-friendly" interface..
You'll have to open your registry (regedit.exe) and modify the ASIOMapChanIn and AsioMapChanOut registry keys of VirtualDJ. The values represents the inputs and outputs ports of your card, numbered from 00 to nn.
Replace the default value (00 01 02 03) to (00 01 10 11) to use Line 2 and Aux2 (thanks acw_dj ;-)

What I want is to use Aux2 and Aux3 as input, FR/FL and RR/RL as outputs. What would that be in VDJ registry language? =)
Thanks,
Andrew

I can't help you more, you'll have to make some tests... ;-) Try changing the numbers until you reach the good input/output.
00 01 02 03 means (00)deck1Left (01)Deck1Right (02)Deck2Left (03)Deck2Right

is possible to modify the registry using 2 independent sound cardsin order that vdj recognize each soundcard for each deck ? if so what would be the configuration to use them with tcvs?, usin the map chain besides the asio4all drivers ?; because even using this driver and 2 soundcards, vdj says there are not enough channels.
