I use an HP Compaq nx 8220 Notebook with 1,73 GH Pentium M Processor, 1 GB RAM and an extern
M-Audiophile Soundcard via Firewire, Hercules MP3 Control (without internal soundcard).
On my last Gig at a Club, a had massive soundproblems: The Sound had no real deep bass, no real highs. It sounds a little bit like a "Transistor Radio" compared with the Sound of my Records I played.
I had also quite a little "Electronic Noise" on the speakers from the moment I connected the VDJ Laptop- System with the Clubmxer.
The Problems have nothing to do with the Quality of my MP3, because when I play it with ITUNES at Home with same configuration it sounds good. The Gig before I used Tractor DJ and the Sound was also fine.
Could it be, that the Quality of Sound has anything to do with VDJ or the Settings of VDJ or Hercules MP3 Control?
