Topic: Lost BPM/Cuepoint Info

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I loaded up Virtual DJ today to find out all my cuepoints/bpm settings were gone! The paths to the songs and the filenames have not changed at all. The only thing I did do however was use Musicmatch to update the ID3 tags of all my mp3s. How does Virtual DJ store individual settings for each track? Also how would I go about fixing this? Thanks!

unfortunatly by editing the id3 tags this alters the mp3 file size (very slightly) and then vdj has to rescan all these files that have been altered so unless you can undo these changes you have lost your data. this is the only downside of the database. you can now alter some details from within vdj without losing the information tho.

That's pretty upsetting. It took me so long to set all these things. :-(

There is no way to repair this? Simple things like ID3 tag changes shouldn't break this great function of Virtual DJ.
