I have a couple of mp3s that when playing in winamp are 5 minutes long but when i use them in virtual dj they only play for 1:29 minutes and then the song ends. What can I do to get the song to play the full time that it is supposed to be

Sometimes I have the same problem with mp3 with variable bit rate, I think this depends of the internal Virtual DJ encoder, If you buy the software you can change the encoder with another different.

It always will depend in where you have done your ripping... I use 192Kbps VBR in my songs and don't have problems. But if you try to use a 64Kbps VBR you may have problems. Try to rip again in 192 CBR and check again.

OK, I use EAC ( http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ ) to extract and lame 3.97 beta 2 to encode ( http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm ) with this setting -V2 --vbr-new (VBR ~200 kbit/s). All the software is freeware!
