The DAC-3 is simply a controller controlling many of the features in Virtual DJ, giving a more hands-on feeling, instead of using your keyboard or mouse. You simply plug it in via the USB cable and your up and running. It has nothing to do with the rest of your setup.

Hmm..ok so i just use it as a controller and the sound output is still from my soundcard..ok..
And what about scrolling through the songs list and finding the songs etc from database? Can the DAC3 do it?
thanks

If you use my DAC-3 mapper (Downloads -> Plugins -> Sound Effects), you can use SHIFT+jogwheel to browse through your songs and folders (The default built-in mappings do not allow this.) The up/down buttons on the DAC-3 can also be used for browsing.

If you do other things with your computer while VDJ is playing, a nice thing I found about the DAC3 is that you don't have to have VDJ in the forground to (the active application) to start and stop a deck. I have other programs I use during a show (like excel) and it is nice to know I can just hit play and it works.

Thats good...thanks!

Can the DAC2 controll regular cd players like denon or pioneers...?

no... it can only controll software
