Topic: VDJ 3.2 "Direct X Audio driver error"

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm a french VDJ3.2 user with DJConsole.
I've been using VDJ for two years with an external mixer, so i use the "advanced configuration".

Left deck ==> Hercules DJ Console Front channels
Right deck ==> Hercules DJ Console Right channels

When i run VDJ i have the following message (in french) "Erreur dans le driver audio directX".
I have the latest release of directX and the latest drivers for the djconsole.

Please help, i have a mix tonight !!!

It doesn't mean that there is a problem with the directX... In almost all cases it means simply that your soundcard setup is wrong / does not work...

Please try a different soundcard setting, that works... and the direct X message is gone next time you start Virtual DJ :)

"DirectX Audio driver error" is a typical message of a software booting in WDM / DirectX Audio while the hardware is in ASIO.
- Check DJ Console control panel, load the WDM mode instead of ASIO, boot your software or
- Start your software in ASIO mode instead of starting in WDM.

Many thanks for all your advices. Unfortunately my pc crashed last week and i'm going to re-install it from scratch (VDJ included of course!). I will let you informed of the situation.

Bests Regards and Merry Chrismas to all of you.
