Hi,

Hope somebody can help me out :o)

I just bought the Hercules DJ Console, and together with that the VirtualDJ.

So far im happy, it seems like streamin with winamp / shoutcast is no more needed,
now that VirtualDJ has it all integrated - Im runnning Version 3.2

But when i set it up to broadcast, it gives me the adress with the OGG in the end, guess that means im streaming in OGG format. Now i wanted to change that to MP3, wich i think i can change under the BROADCAST Config. Here i can change format from Icecast(ogg) to Shoutcast(mp3), but everytime i change it to mp3, itll jump back to ogg although i press OK.

I noticed theres a blank field for ENCODER,
and maybe i need to setup with some Encoder when i want the format to be MP3 ???

Now i dunno wot file to browse the encoder to,
is it something i have or will a have to dl some plugin / encoder ???

Or is there something else im doin wrong ???

You will need to browse the encoder to the file "lame_enc.dll".

if you don't have that file in the vdj folder, neither in winamp folder then google it.

Yes that made it work, i now can stream in mp3 format, great and thx once again !!!.

Although i now have next step problem ;o)

If i run a broadcast, it seems like ppl can connect to me for a very short time, they even get to hear the music im streamin, but only like 2-5 secs then they get disconnected again ???

If i try to join me own broadcast with winamp / play URL, i can join me own broadcast without no problem, and i can listen as long as i want - i dont get disconnected after 5 secs ???

Me firewall is opened, aswell as me router forwared.....hmm lost of ideas again :o)
 
What is your upload connection and at what bitrate are you broadcastiing?
 
Got a 512 kbps in upload, and broadcasting with 48kps ???

Another friend was just trying to connect, he got an: Error Syncing To mpeg.
But maybe thats coz he's missing some files / formats at his side ???
