Why is it that this sh!t only happens live?

So I have loaded a saved wait list and am 1/2 hour into a gig.
I do a search and go to return to another genre in my browser and when I open one of my folders I have either nothing listed at all or maybe 4-6 songs in each.
Houston.......were having a problem here........

So while I am running I check the music directory, -ok, all there.
Soooooo, the first thing I do is re-scan the drive.
Nooooo good...........sorry fella. Can you say WTF?????
The program is not seeing all the files in a scan??

OOOOOk, lets stop the show and reboot............
Excuse me folks, my program needs a poddy break, we'll be right back after a word from our sponsors....

Oh, that's much better now, isn't it amazing, it is total magic.
David Copperfield would be so proud.

So what gives?
I can pound this system senceless for days on end, but the moment it goes live it screws up..........

Can you say re-load 1.08???

Anybody else have this happen??

When you change directories, you must make sure to click in the search box. (where you type your search in) If thyere are any charactors there, you will only see those tracks that match the search in whatever directory you change to. However, once you clear the search text, everything in the directory will be displayed.

This freaked me out a bit the first time too... Until I realized that text in the search box stays until you click there. Even when directories are changed.

Rick,

I am all too familiar with the search changes that limit the viewing.
I dont' go live unless I feel the pulse of the program, which I do.
I did a drive scan and got nothing more.
I had some of the tracks showing and nothing at all in the search bar.
I would love to think that it was that simple, but it was not.
There is a glitch in the search return I suspect.
It was too wierd.

Rick,

I've had the same problem it has to be a glitch in the program, sometimes it finds all the tracks sometimes it does not. I've even had the whole search bar vanish.

It's kind of like the search bar doesn't release from the database despite the search field being blank.
