Topic: Dj console soundcard chip?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I wonder if anyone know what soundcard or chipset the VDJ is based on?

I have problems with my ASIO drivers, can not run it down to less that 20ms on my 1,6Centrino laptop without clipping. It should run at 12ms.

My point is that it may work better with the ASIO drivers for that soundcard.

I am using the Dj COnsole as an external soundcard/midi interface with Reason And CubaseVST as well as using it for DJing.

Robert, my latency on my laptop with the hercules console while in ASIO mode is 7 ms no problems at all.

unfortunatly, VDJ doesn't support ASIO (yet) :(

Hi Psychonauten,

DJ Console audio chipset is Texas Instrument TUSB 3200 A.

This chipset is used in most M-Audio USB interfaces, so I don't think this chipset is slow in itself.

Do you use your PC with power plug connected (Intel Centrino is incredibly slow when working in portable mode, but I don't even think the portable mode can support VirtualDJ)?
