you need 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs all together, you can use 2 soundcards or one doesnt matter. laptop or desktop?

will be used on a desktop.
on my pc at the rear there are 6 entries to connect audio, will that do?

you need 2 x LINE IN
Even if your soundcard have 6 entries, its probably just ONE line-in.
For real good timecode use, you also need an ASIO supported soundcard (zero latency)
Like Maya 44 usb, Hercules Console MK2 etc

so going with the hercules mk2 is a good option, right?
but the equalizer on the console, can it match up with a real mixer or not?

i am going to purchase the herc mk2, it will work great for an asio soundcard. the equalizers on the mk2 are just midi controllers to control the built in software EQ in virtual dj, so no it wont be as good as a mixer

Maybe a "Maya 44 usb" is a better solution and cheaper then console.
one more thing, if you use timecoded vinyls can you switch bewteen timecoded and real vinyls in
virtual dj?

"I have 2 turntabels and a mixer"
You can always connect the Hercules to your external mixer, and use your EQ etc on external. Recommended ;)

with maya44 or dj console MK2 both work with timecoded vinyl. maya44 is discontinued so sometimes harder to find. yes there is a software bypass in vdj to use real vinyl or you can use rca splitters and switch the line in/phono switch on mixer.
look at this

the setup would be the same with herc mk2

TreZor,
Here is how I have my turntables connected
I split the TT signals into 2 RCA connections, 1 output goes to soundcard Line in 1 &2 while the other connects into the Mixer's other phono/line in connection.
Same with the other turntable. This way if you want to play a regular vinyl all you need to do is flip the switch on the mixer and that's it.
Best Regards
