Topic: how do I keep ID3 tags in sync with the xml database?

Hi all,

[with ID3 tag write and read both on]

First time I analyze a mp3 file, adjust the bpms / cbg / cue points / comments, everything works fine: all this info is nicely stored in the mp3 file itself (VDJ's own id3 tag) and in the VDJ Database xml file.

My problem is, when I go to update some of this in VDJ later on for the same file (e.g. add more cue points, change the comments...), the new stuff is then only stored in the VDJ Database xml file and never makes it to the id3 tag. Hence if I want to move the files to another computer, I have to move the xml database too, which kind of defeats the purpose of the ID3 tags :(

Anyone knows if this is a bug, a feature, or if there is a workaround?

how can I keep all my mp3's ID3 tags in sync with the xml database?

Much thanks,

Nicolas

I think it is a bug, i had strange experience with it too, it just writes VDJ id3tags when you analyse the files or it seems to me like that.

ANY staff, how is this supposed to work, and how it works ?

@dj bambi let's wait for answer and if nothing happens, there's no solution, you/me aren't doin something wrong
try to report it on the bugs forum

I know VirtualDJ writes VDJ Tags at the end of a scan
