Topic: 2 sound card... but it aint working

hi there .. i have a problem here .. u see .. i have got ma full version of virtual DJ .. so i decided to install an extra soundcard so that i could monitor the tracks through headphones before playing it out .. but the problem is with the configurations ... all those left rights and .. samples and all are like killing me ... after setting them up ... the tracks wont spin ... please tell me the right config ..
* i am using two very common soundcards ..one onboard another old 16 bit PCI model from creative.
