Topic: New Atomix 2.2 is still skipping my wav tracks from cd

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey Atomix`s developer team. I`ve started running on Win 2k Pro all over again, but now on my new PC. It`s a P.4 , 1.8 ghz, 384 DDR , etc... When i insert audio cd`s into my drive, the music that`s already playing start skipping ( mp3 or wav, whatever ). It`s an old problem and i didn`t solve it yet. What should i do ? It seems i really can not mix mp3 and audio cd`s at same time. Please, let me know, bacause i have to play this way sometimes at some parties over here.

This is just an idea: When you insert a new CD, Windows tries to find out what sort of cd it is, even if you don't use an 'autorun' cd. This takes some time. Maybe it takes too much system resources, and that makes your Atomix play wrong? Maybe you should try to disable this fake-autorun, I dunno.
