I have never encountered this in the software, I use it every weekend. Could it be soundcard issue or can you actually see that the gain slider has moved ?

I had this problem with a creative live 5.1 so i used an older als4000 (Very old) and it seemed to sort it out. Of course I went and baught a new sound card.

I see the gain fluctuate quite clearly. On some skins - the value of the gain is shown, and on those skins, the values moves (and predictibably for the song in question) to fit the song.

So it seems autogain can never really be turned off. (!)
(and yes - in options, I do have autogain disabled)

The autogain does not work correctly.
It works until you touch the gain control, after that the gain control just goes back to the middel and if the song is soft it doesnt boost the gain. The gain is shown as -12 but does not bring it back to 0. What can i do?

The gain is working fine. After i anlized all the songs the gain started to work.
So you have to analize the songs before it works correctly.
Thanks

I find even when you analyse all the tunes the gain starts to increase on its own!
