Topic: Error trying to update my Herc' DJ version of Virtual DJ

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I downloaded the update for the Hercules DJ version of the software from the download section but when i try to run it i get an error messaging stating:

"virtualdj_djc.exe is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded"

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Maybe it's because you have another version (not the DJ Console version ) in your computer... ???

Nah, i definately only have the DJ console version, so im not sure whats going on.

tryes to find a dir called virtau~1/ orso ??

in the virtual dj folder rename the .exe so its named:-

virtualdj.exe

Okay i renamed the file to "virtualdj.exe" like you said and now i get this message

"virtualdj_djc.exe could not be opened"

you perhaps would be better off, completely uninstalling all versions of your virtualDJ software that you have installed, re-boot, then complete re-install.

yes uninstall and reinstall!
i have had similar probs before and i did as i said and it sorted the problem :)

Well i only ever had the one version. I'll give that a try and let you know if it fixes the problem. Thanks for the input.
