Topic: Microphone input possible???

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is it possible to use a microphone to talk during broadcast mixes???

if yes? How?

yes i think so! you can put a pc microphone into your "mic" input on your soundcard and in the brodcasting plugin there is a microphone option and there is a button "push to talk" press that to speak or you can do it through your mixer!

Doesn't work... when I press the "TALK" button, people don't hear me, or not loud enough to hear what I'm saying... i checked my volume settings, and I noticed that when I press the "TALK" button, in my mixer panel the "MONO IN" setting automatically will be put to minimum level

do you know what's wrong? I tried every setting I could

i think in the "input" tab on the plugin you need to click "open mixer" and make sure you have "microphone" checked ok if it doesnt work get back to me!

I saw an lengthy and very informative post about this on the technical supportforum over at shoutcast.com, pasting it in here would be a mess but just have a look over there and you'll probably find it
