Its great but why the hell won't it record to the hard drive without skipping!

I am forced to record to minidisc first then input it back into my pc, its a long way round and i loose sound quality!

What can I do??

I got an AMD K6-2 500, 128 Mb and a Voodoo 3 3500

no, your computer should be fast enough. Just close all programs running in the background. If this fails, download a program from downloads.com that will let you record what's playing over your speakers. With a separate recorder, you can even record into mp3 format.

Use windows with less resolution : 16 bits is enough. Use a light skin, such as the classic one. Disable autoprotection. Use the letest drivers, directX 8.1... Be sure that your DMA is activated, try not to record on the same drive than the one on which windows is installed.

Hope this helps, Adrien

If you are still having problems with recording in atomix .... try out Supermp3recorder (www.supermp3recorder.com) ... Ikke recommended it to me .... it's the best !

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Looks like I have solved it, but my cpu to 504 MHz ( 112 x 4.5 )

Looks like the faster system bus and improved things, no skips or jumps :)

Running nice and stable too.
