Topic: version 2.0 ARRGGHHH!!!!

im using a
1ghz athon
132mbram
soundblaster live platnum
windows 98
every time i run version 2 my computer freezes, im using the 3d sound card setting and the two output setting
please help!!!!!

Well, I think there's something wrong with your PC. I have a P3 450, 128 mb ram, a standard soundcard (no 3d), and win98. I have no problems with 2.0 (trail, OK).
Maybe your drivers of your soundcard are incompatible or are wrongly configurated?

There are several problems with the SB Live! boards and many Athlon chipsets from VIA.

I would suggest posting for help on a computers oriented board like Tweak3D (http://bbs.pcstats.com/tweak3d) for more help and advice.

I think is win 98 on your fast computer...Because I have a sblive value and chipset via,but i have installed win 2k...And I have no problem with atomix 2!!!win 2k is MORE stalble than win 98 and win 2k use your system ram...Hear me...install win 2k...

Why not XP? There's a better support for multimedia in XP than in 2k.

i have windos XP and version 2 is very slowwy and cpu 20-50% with no music playing. version 1.12 stil works smooth
