Topic: Can't use the right channels from my soundcard (EMI 2|6)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm using a laptop with the Emagic USB soundcard EMI 2|6.
The soundcard has 3 stereo output channels. In atomix (full version 2.0) I can't use the soundcard (channel 1&2) as the first and (channel 3&4) as second soundcard. It works fine in BPM studio where I'm also able to assign the sampler to channels 5&6. Have to say that in BPM studio I also can choose different drivers (ASIO, EASI, Direct sound and WME). Anyone suggestions to help me out?

Mm, as far as I know ASIO supports one soundcard with multiple outputs, but I think AtomixMP3 uses DirectX, which only supports multiple soundcards if they are registered in Windows as different soundcards (the EMI isn't), or you can use the 3D channels when using a 3D-soundcard. Maybe try to find a driver which devides your channels as (virtually) 3 different soundcards.
You can't send the samples-output to a 3th channel. I also proposed it as a good feature, but I got the reply that it wasn't, so maybe it'll be there later.

Greetz, ikke
