Seriously.. how can someone claim that MP3PRO is better than normal MP3?
Did someone steal both their brains AND their ears???

We've had this discussion too many times: MP3PRO is SHITE!
It has a very low bitrate and is basically just MP3's destructively compressed to fit on a thumbdrive, compact flash or whatever...the quality sucks since it's focused on size..

Dont believe me?
Check these posts then and get the facts straightened out before you claim that we "must" have mp3pro-support.. it would be a giant leap in the wrong direction:

Sorry guys.....

Think that you need to make a little calculation..... double the bitrate and than lower it with 32 kb/s.
So if you are using a 64 kb/s you will get a quality equal or in this example even better than 96 kb/s.
I think the quality is even comparable to 112 kb/s.
But now over to the maximum bitrate that mp3pro supports so far.... 160 kb/s (this can only be archieved by using Steinberg MyMP3Pro v.3.0)
A calculation off 160 x 2 - 32 comes up with a soundquality comparable with 288 kb/s.
I think it's great to have such good quality and than get such low filesizes...... Right now you can even get more files on your big harddisk :-))
