have been playing with the trial version am reluctant to buy because when I drop a new file on to the pad the music stops before the new file drops in does this go onto the recording with the real software or is this something only with the trial version ed hibler aka bugmaned@aol.com

No, music on the playing deck should not pause when you load the second deck. I don't know about the trial version.

Unless it's a hardware problem, the only thing I can think of is a mis-configured sound output setup, where your speakers may think that they are both normal and monitor output, which means that loading a file on another deck, as the other is being played, would cause your Atomix to automatically shift deck functions to the new deck, to prepare for mixing.
This will cause your other deck to go silent, although the file is being played. This is a feature designed for use with headphones, but mis-configuring your sound output could cause your speakers to be your monitor. Please check and advise.
