the problem my music ones every hour atleast one song skips ones ( i get a pop) it really suck
on my hard drive i have like 20 gig of mp3 all of the on well condition (i listen to all of them)
I Shut down all programs running in the background
when i run atomixmp3 i run it by itself
i love atomix it works perfectly on my destop
i wish it will work the same way on my labtop

I have no problems on my desktop either but have to admit that sometimes during a set it skips. I have switched some things to make it run better and little tweaks have improved perfomance. Do you use a playlist or do you just search your files in the first window ? If you have a large playlist in the second window this can be rather strenuous on the cpu.

Hmmm.... Well all i can say is that i have a Pentium II 450mhz with 64mg of Ram and it runs like a dream on mines....#
make sure you use MP3s encoded @ 128k or less for minimal CPU usage ...

mmmh, is UDMA66 for your HD activated.
Check it out. Try this:
Start/execute and type regedit
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SystemCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 000
Ckeck out if EnableUDMA66 is set to 1.

Don't use MP3's less than 128kbps, because the sound quality is crap and it will give Atomix a bad name if anybody hears it....

LOL James ! I will try what you said Janosch, but I really haven't had any problems so why mess with it. I really do think that windows has a role in this problem and that Atomix can't really do much to compensate for it. Try using smaller playlist and less video drivers resources (skins)

the bitrate the mp3 is encoded in shouldn't affect performance in playback. if it does in atomixmp3, then i don't know, maybe atomix engine is slow !
