i noticed that the drum machine in the Roland 808 doesn't work with VDJ like it does for Serato. I don't wanna buy Serato because I absolutely love VDJ. is there anyway in the future to make the drum machine compatible with VDJ. probably a lot of work ahead.

Serato DJ should be a free download that works with any DJ808 controller.
I also recently bought virtual dj to work with my dj808 and had the same problem. Are you using macos?
The problem for me was that the sampler/TR-S didn't output correctly and only worked into the headphones. I contacted support, but they haven't been able to help me yet, either. I'm currently just outputting the drums through another audio app (Logic Pro)

thanks for the reply guys. i just bought the 808 controller 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it but i can't use the TR-S so as you mentioned i might use another seperate app for outputing the drum machine
