Topic: Sound card set up problem
hey - I'm a newbie, still trying to get the basic set up correct. I have a query about sound card &/or graphic cards.

I have a Macbook, DDJ-GRV6 & Behringer U-Control UCA222. When I first connected everything (mac > sound card > DDJ), no music played. I removed the sound card and now it works, but... the sound card on the Mac is not good enough and every so often the music cuts out.

I also get a pop-up message on Virtual DJ saying I should get a graphics card or create prepared stems or play lower quality music.

So my questions are: Is the sound card i got good enough? (If not, any recommendations are greatly appreciated)
How do i connect the sound card successfully? Is it a simple hardware connection or a software configuration I am getting wrong?

TIA

Typically, when using a DJ controller (such as DDJ-GRV6) you want the sound to come out from the sound interface built into that controller.
If you hear the sound playing through your MAC speakers then yes, you have done something wrong.
Here's the setup guide for GRV6:

If for whatever reason you want to use your Behringer instead of the GRV6, it IS possible to do so. However it requires some software configuration.
Therefore it's still best advised to use your GRV6 until you learn the software enough to do those changes.
