I wanted to test out using virtual DJ with my Prime 4+ in computer mode, but sadly whenever I either play music or videos, it stutters every now and then (a few times per track). I tried looking at google to try and find a solution, and sadly every very limited solution didn't helped.
In regular mode without my deck connected, everything works as intended regarding playing music and video files. Also the Denon DJ Prime 4+ is version 4.2.0. Been trying to figure out for a few hours now, but can't find a solution. Anybody out there that might be able to help me? At this moment it's not workable for what it is.
**EDIT**
So now I also tried to connect it to my AlphaTheta FLX-2 and it works perfectly. So the problem is somewhere between with the Prime 4+ and PC.

Anyone an idea what it can be or what I can look at? I'd rather use my bigger deck instead of a small cheapo one.

Denon ASIO drivers. Increase latency in the control panel. Check the ultraLatency setting in VDJ is yes.

I just raised the latency and the ultralatency was already switched to yes. Still have the issue

To what?
VDJ recommends setting UltraLatency OFF if you're having issues.

I raised the Latency now to 2024 on the Denon ASIO and also in the VDJ Cat Latency.
What ever I try, I keep having this issue with the Prime 4+

I don't know anything about latency caused by cats. They cause issues if they walk on the keyboard though.
Is the Prime connected directly to the PC, with the blue cable, to a USB 3 port?

Yeah, it's directly connected to the computer.
Switched back to the FLX2 and there is no issue with that again..
I'm getting frustrated and been trying to find out what the issue is.

As I have stated many times in the past (although @groovin disagrees with me) Denon drivers can be a bit tetchy and work with some PCs and not others.
Have you ran a DPC Latency test?
Try installing Windows Ultimate power plan, activate it and see if that helps.
Disable Core Parking and see if that helps.

I'd managed to resist the temptation to jump in earlier, but now you've included me in the post...
I know you used to go on at great length about how Denon drivers were bad, and Windows 11 was bad, despite evidence to the contary - but then you did eventually make a post about how you'd solved the issue.....and surprise surprise, it wasn't caused by the Denon drivers or Windows 11.
At that point I was hopeful that your campaign was over, but now it seems you're back at it again.
I don't know how many thousands of Denon users there are on the Engine DJ forum, but issues like this rarely come up.

The issue wasn't solved, I returned the laptops that wouldn't work with the drivers. Still no idea why some laptops are fine with them and others aren't.

@NEODASH can you provide some detailed info on the PC spec?
The FLX2 is a much more basic controller at less than 1/10 the price, putting far less stress on the computer. The Prime 4+ has not only a much bigger set of controls, it has a large screen and several small ones to power.

How come no one has asked what computer and what processor. Running the screens on the prime unit maybe taxing his laptop

I did, in the post directly above yours!

I have the same issue when using VDJ with my Prime 4+ in computer mode. With automi it stops almost every 10 seconds in normal mode occasionally but still quite often.
I run the sw on a Lenovo Legion with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H , 512GB SSD, RAM 16GB. Anyone can help ?

Try increasing the buffer in the Denon control panel, disable any power saving on the laptop both in Windows and the bios. Look up core parking and try disabling that. Run a latency checker (DPC) to see how the machine is running.
