Topic: Sample triggering has changed since VDJ updated to v2025 b8472
Hello all,
I have a Denon DN-MC6000 controller and the new version of VDJ is treating the triggering of samples differently. If I tap SAMP.1 on the right side deck of the 6000 then slot 5 in the sample bank should trigger. Since the update this no longer occurs. What's happening now is that tapping SAMP.1 on the right deck now triggers slot 1 instead.
I've found a workaround for now, but it has to be implemented each time VDJ starts up, which is annoying.
What can be done is that the right deck sample buttons can be set to trigger slots 5-12. The left deck is left to trigger slots 1-8. Please see the attached image.
it's almost like VDJ doesn't span slots 1-8 horzontally across the decks anymore?

setting SamplerSpanAcrossDecks yes , ? [edit picture suggests it is]
there might be a fix needed for 4 pad per side devices
 
indeed, samplerSpanAcrossDecks works assuming 8 pads per deck.
will fix for next build

Maybe also for 16 pads?
I think a couple of those controllers are supported in VDJ (like the Hercules P32 DJ)
