Hello folks,
I use a Roland DJ 808 controller. I would like to enable a Master FX, but whatever I try, I hear no sound change (even with very "explicit" effects such as distortion). I read somewhere that master effects only work if you use a master channel, or something like that, but what is that? and how do I do that? Is it configured somewhere in the audio routing? Thanks for any help!

The Roland DJ 808 receives individual decks audio from VirtualDJ (as you can see from the audio setup) and the mixing of these channels is done by the DJ 808.
In this case it's not possible for VirtualDJ to apply effects to the master output, since the mixing is not done inside VirtualDJ.
There are other controllers that accept a master output from VirtualDJ, where VirtualDJ mixes the decks together, and in that case VirtualDJ can apply effects to the master output as well.
So in the case of the DJ 808, the only thing you can do is apply the same effect on all decks instead.
