The back button on the DJM S11 used to expand/collapse virtual folders/regular folders when they are a parent of othe folders (It's even described in the S11 user manual. It no longer does this with the most recent build (b8241) and it doesn't looks like it seems to work at all anymore.
I also checked the controller editor...the Back doesn't seem to be consistently detected (at least for my mixer), but it works as expected for me in Serato (no reason to believe the device back buttons are faulty).

what if you go back to a previous Build, e.g. the last Public Release 8225 ?

Yes, looks like it only worked one after starting vdj actually :)
