Topic: Advice on setting up two controllers, together
Before I start changing settings ......

I have two mc7000's (also an mcx8000)

Would be nice to have them both connected together, one set to be decks one and two and the second controller to be decks three and four

Obviously connecting them both at the same time, works but they mirror it each other

So what's the best way to achieve my goal
Do I need to edit the mapping file, and if I do, can I have different mapping files for each controller (at the same time)

Or is there a better way ?

Over to the experts ......

If you go the 2 monitor route then a skin has been made [pro skin, popup window covers decks 3 & 4]

So the problem is .....

The deck select buttons, they stop me getting to the ultimate setup lol

Today I have configured as follows

Mcx 8000
Two turntables
Decks one and two
Displays running ok

Mc7000

Decks three and four
And of course the mc7000 allows you to connect two computers

All work great

Ideal setup

Mc8000 in standalone mode on one and two
Vdj decks three and four

Turntables connected to mc7000
And decks five and six

However to do this I need to switch the deck 2 button, and when I press it, it's flips the decks on both controllers

I will experiment on little.mire tomorrow

For now having four decks and two turntables, without having to flip anything is awesome 👍

I think you can just have decks 5 and 6 as the default decks on the second controller, so you don't need the decks button to switch them

Yes ADION that's how I have set it up today and works well

I just thought it would be nice to have the mcx800 with two of it's channels in standalone mode, this means you need to flip the decks

It's not really a problem, I play out using vdj and the usb / standalone is just for emergency use

My quest was to just have four decks live with no switching, which I have achieved, but you know what it's like, you then think of even more options !

Just shows how truly versatile VDJ is .
